The X-700 was my first real camera in 1989, and gave me some really dependable results, shooting mostly with just the stock 50/1.7 lens. I’d forgotten how the viewfinder info could be lacking with aperture, but given that I’d stepped up from a Kodak Star P/S, it was still magical to not only see the shutter speed in “P” mode but also to HAVE more than one shutter speed! 🙂
